warning lamp with Euro lights

My guess is that the low beam wires have power, but not enough current flow,
through the Front Lamp Control Unit. I'm pretty sure I've heard that on the
list before.
Theory: Current would be measured very simply by a coil around the wire -
the coil wire should have some voltage when current flows through the
headlight wire. Voltage at the low beam wire, but not in the coil, would
indicate you've turned on the headlight, but it's not drawing current. It's
a pretty commonly used check circuit.
You could duplicate the circuit after the relays. Find out what the wire
from the Front Lamp Control Unit to the Autocheck normally does with stock
wiring. Do the same with your circuit and voila (walla)!
