While it is easiest to just jump the autocheck unit, there are two ways
to keep it in service - either run your relayed light power back all the
way through it, or, move the unit to a physical location where it is
easy to run both low beam wires through it (after the relays) and extend
the "trigger" wire, the one it sends its signal out on, back to the
original location.
personally, as others have said, I trust in being able to "see" that one
of my low beams is out!
I'm also pretty sure there are details on bypassing the autocheck unit
at Scott Mockry's and Chris Miller's sites. Guess what, there's even
something at mine...
