JC Whitney Opinions

Halfords do Gunson (maybe not) Sykes Pickavant (only goes up to 200 psi) or
Draper Expert (goes up to 300 psi, probably). On the subject of the
adjustable breaker bar, haven't seen that although i think i saw an
adjustable half in drive socket wrench. Mind you had one of those for years,
it's a 15 inch long piece of pipe, fits a treat, used it for all sorts over
the years can' buy em in Halfords either.

Thanks

Iain

I have their fuel pressure gauge. The fittings and hoses are perfectly
adequate - the gears converting the Bouden tube movement to a pointer
displacement are thin and easily dislocated by taps on the front or back of
the case while the unit is showing a reading. You just have to take the back
off and fiddle about.

Otherwise it's quite adequate and has survived three years knocking about in
the tool kit.

Check out the Halfords line before you buy - their quality has improved
noticeably. They also now do a fuel pressure gauge, though I can't see how
you would use it on a CIS system - I haven't had time to check properly.

One nice new Halfords novelty - an extending breaker bar. Slides out from
400mm to 600mm and locks by twisting the handle. Fits in the tool kit and
removes 'monkey boy' lug nuts.
