Bentley differences (was Missing Parts)

I've been reading up on CIS-E from my Bentley manual. I have an 86 4kq, but
while my new Bentley was en route from Rod at TPC, I used my old VW A2
bodystyle Bentley. A lot of those VWs ran CIS and CIS-E.

Now that I have both manuals, I can compare. One thing I've noticed is that
the pin connectors are numbered exactly the same for the control unit. Makes
me wonder if the box is interchangeable from VW to Audi?

Another thing I noticed is that the description of how the fuel injection
system (or any system) works is non-existant in the Audi UrQ 4k manual, but
is quite comprehensive in the VW manual. So, if you have an old VW Bentley
manual around, or know someone who does, give it a read. You'll understand
the systems much better. I did.
