There are various versions of the ECUs (all with the same pin outs, but
calibrated to different engine specifications).  If the part number is
the same (note the suffix too), then it's interchangeable.  Otherwise,
it "might" work, although not optimally.

Or better yet, the Bosch Fuel Injection book by Probst., also available
from Bentley Publishers ( http://www.rb.com ).
