More autocheck problems

I have an 86 5kcstq that is warning me about tail+brake lights. All
are working but I get the taillight and brake light warnings when
ever I hit the brakes or turn on the lights. The archive has pointed
me in the right direction but I have two quick questions:

1. Are 5007 and 5008 lights significantly different from each other?
I have some of each but they are placed symetrically.
2. Is there an easy way to clean the aluminum connectors (something I
can spray into the female side?)
