rear links 5tk/ Charlie spring

Hi guys,
Anyone out there with first hand knowledge why/ how the rear links on an
early 86 5tq
are different from the later ones?
Will they interchange with the later ones?
The early ones are about 80 dollars more than the later ones....so the Yankee
in me wants to know if I could interchange them safely. * ( I know.....
Proberly not, wish I had one of each to measure )
Any BTDT...?
Also, has anyone who has installed a "Charlie Spring" ever verified their Hp?
I have installed one and get 1.7~1.8 bar and would like an est of Hp........
I've heard Tap advertises their Spring/ Comp mod at 240hp, and all they do is
bypass the fuel pump cutoff......or do they modify/ replace the pressure
sensor?
Anyone?
