Heh.  And here, people leave their cars running at the gas station
while they fill up.  Signs are everywhere near the big
dig..."Massachusetts state law section blah blah blah prohibits
leaving engines idling for more than 5 minutes"(exposure to more than
about a minute of diesel fumes has been deemed carcinogenic in a
number of studies.)  Some truckers (amazingly) actually follow it,
others happily idle next to the cute blue signs.

For an entirely different reason...namely the INCREDIBLE levels of
industrial pollution and emissions.
