switch LEDs replaced, still NG

There's prolly nothing wrong w/ the switch. You'd be able to tell if it
was...just make sure you clean the contacts in there very well. If you see
any green, you should emory board the contacts to get the brassy [or tinny]
finish. Also LED's are not like light bulbs, they only work one way. It
sounds very likely you may have wired them backwards by accident...since
they work off the battery. Also it's very important for there to be a
resistor inline between the power supply and LED on one side. The resistor
can be on either side. I assume there must have been one there before or
maybe built in to the wiring. I never seen the guts of a fog lamp switch,
but if they're anything like the window switches, you should be able to
figure it out on your own...no need to buy a new switch. A diagram of the
inside wiring/connections might help troubleshooting. Good luck.
