Yes, they are a simple device, a ball and spring vavle, once oil pressure comes up the spring compresses and they start squirting the bottom of the piston. A hole must be machined down into an oil passage, they are pressed in, and a hole must be drilled and tapped to fit an allen bolt that keeps them there. A lot of work, not worth it when ready to go blocks are around.
