Amen on the Audi Warranty.  They REPLACED my 4 month old 2000 A6 4.2 after 2
1/2 weeks of problems repairing the transmission.  I had my choice of any
car in the US inventory or waiting for a 2001 spec'ed the way I wanted it.
Guess which choice I made and they let me drive the 2000 for 5 more months
until the 2001 came in.  I was prepared to go toe-to-toe and they could not
have been nicer from the outset.  Oh yeah, they also offered me my money
back.

They have always provided a loaner car (even for routine maint.)  Both cars
have been great and the dealer (Lasher Audi in Sacramento) even has the
mechanic talk to me before and after maintenance!  Wouldn't you like this
kind of service instead of the usual dance around when a warranty problem
comes up.  Re: my 1995 GS "wound have had the throttle cable and front
fender replaced if requested while it was in warranty."
