Frankly, I am not surprised to hear about this kind of service from Lasher.
Back when I was growing up they only did VWs and they had a very good
reputation for service. When I was shopping for my first new car after
graduating from college I *almost* bought my '78 Fox GTI at Niello in
Sacramento ... to be honest I don't remember what the snafu was near the end
of the process, but I found the same car that was better cared for at
Anderson-Behel PA down here in Santa Clara (that's where they were then) ...
and when I started to talk about getting the car down here I found out how
Niello really was ... and I'm glad I never did business with them.
