Two quickies

1) On a 1990 200QT what should I check first if the cruise control isn't
working?  It won't set a speed.
2) A very general question, before I got my Audi I only went to the car
wash.  Anyone have suggestions for what are good wash/wax products to
use?  Do you use anything special for a Northeast USA winter?
