Hi all.
Sadly, it's time for me to cash in my Audi chips. As much fun as my Coupe
was, I can't afford to keep it going, and I've gotten another vehicle in the
meantime. I live in an apartment that would prefer I not keep my spare cars
in their lot, so they have to go.
The one I had initially (and drove for a year) is a white Commemorative
Edition, good for lots of mechanical parts (engine/tranny are strong, new
clutch slave cylinder, good fuel system, good radiator) and other miscellany
like the newer dash and digital instruments (for those of you that like that
sort of thing) computer, wheels, trunk lid, glass, and driver window
regulator assembly. Its oil pan leaks and the starter is flaky; the latter
is why I had to finally abandon it.
The second I bought hoping to salvage the first, and has a straight body but
cracked frame, good interior, good glass except windshield, good brakes,
working power steering, alternator, starter. Its last breath (aside from
the frame bit) was a bad rod. It starts and can toodle slowly around, but
makes a hell of a lot of noise doing it.
Oh, and both have that lovely close-ratio five speed..
One's from Michigan and one's from New Mexico; I have both titles in my
name, and anyone interested is welcome to swing by. I'm in Ann Arbor, MI.
Feel free to email me.
TIA
