The Audi factory radios in those days are not wired through a switched
power connection. They keep playing when you turn off ignition,
until you manually shut off the radio. Thus there is no switched power
to the radio. You'd have to run a wire yourself from somewhere with
switched power (leading to line 15 in the fuse/relay box) if you install
an aftermarket radio that requires it.

There may be a wire for radio illumination (so that the radio switches'
back illumination comes on when you turn on the parking/headlights,
regardless of whether the radio is turned on), but most aftermarket radios
don't use that.
