I'd check that the fuel injection cooling fan (if so equipped) is
working properly.  If not, you may be experiencing vapor lock.  If
that's working fine it might be the injectors themselves.  I'd also
check the cold start valve and temp sensor and related wiring, if so
equipped.  As you can tell I'm not familiar w/ the V8 but if it's
anything like the other type 44's it should share those parts.  Can I
assume your new fuel pump came w/ a new check valve?  Bad check valves
notorious for causing hot start problems.  Good luck.
