Digital Camera Recommendations - for documenting auto repairs?

I picked up a cheap (Largan 800?) "instamatic" sort of thing for just
that purpose.  Nothing fancy.  No zoom, no focus, built in flash.  Works
fine, but not an "artist's machine" by a long shot.  Saved its $100 or
so price over an dover by not wasting analog film on these shots.

Use real film for those!  When you get that priceless shot, how are you
gonna make a 16 x 20 and frame it from a sad little digipic?  That said,
of course the digital will allow fast and easy sharing over the net with
relatives, etc.
