Hi Taka;
This makes me shudder, for some reason. I've known guys that have done it
with no apparent problems, but ATF is designed for the tranny, not the
crankcase. I'd be inclined to run a few frequent changes of Mobil 1 or a
similar synthetic to gradually clean up the crud. If you use something too
aggressive on a dirty engine, you may have a few chunks floating around the
passages.
Do you have reason to believe your engine is dirty? Every high mileage
engine of mine I've pulled apart has been spotless inside, but I change oil
regularly. Try pulling your cam cover - if it is clean in there, your engine
is probably clean elsewhere.
