DIY Turbo using diesel bits?

Brian,
Look in Etka and see if exhaust manifold gaskets are the same. The I5 has
those 5 individual gaskets.
I'd guess exhaust manifold will fit but I'm not sure if your inlet
manifold will then fit, turbo may be in the way. Certainly I5 turbo engine
has a different inlet manifold but this maybe so throttle is at front of
engine to shorten pipe from intercooler.
Fueling should be OK as the same metering head is used on turbo and non
turbo engines.
Breather pipes may need rerouting so they are not on the pressure side.
I've read some reports on american engines that have turbos fitted and
they seem ok with boosts of 5 psi without engine mods.
I think turbo oil supply pipes connect to an adapter that screws in the
block instead of oil filter and then oil filter screws into adapter. Try
and get all this.
good luck!
