[Update] Blinking Temp light

are you still actually losing coolant? ie, are you having to top it up
to stop the warning light?
If so, you have a leak, you just haven't found it yet. Try sniffing
your exhaust for the smell of coolant...
If not, try disconnecting the level sender in the expansion tank to see
if it is the cause of the light. It might be bad.
Also there is the possibility of a bad temp warning sender, but it's the
same one that runs your gauge, which is working fine... right?
There is also the possibility of a bad AC control unit, since the
coolant temp sender signal passes through it.
The flasher device for the coolant warning also could be the culprit.
Finally (?) there could be a short to ground somewhere in the wiring to
the devices above, causing an anomolous fault indication.
