stainless hose upgrade for stock fuel lines

I noticed that my stock fuel lines are getting pretty rusty so instead of
replacing them with new stock lines I'm going to do it with stainless braided
AN hose all the way back to the fuel tank/pump instead. This makes sense for
me since I'm in the process of converting to EFI anyway so I won't need to
use tube nuts or anything to adapt to the stock lines. Not to mention that I
won't have to bend like a pretzel to install the damn things! The difference
in price is actually not that bad. A set of new stock lines (supply +
return) goes for about $150 last time I checked, and the stainless
replacement I'm working on is going to cost about $200 (including all
fittings and adapters.. maybe a bit more depending on the mounting system).
The tricky part is going to be finding a clean way to mount the lines using
the stock studs that hang from the body (the ones that normally are used by
the little metal clamps with the rubber inserts that hold the stock fuel
lines). I ordered some simple rubber insulated "P" clamps which I will try
to secure with speed nuts. That's the cheapest solution... a slightly more
elegant solution (that I have to test fit first to see if it will work) are
these billet aluminum hose separators made by Earls that are a two piece
design using an allen set screw to secure the two pieces, sandwiching the
lines inbetween. It looks like this: http://www.amstreetrod.com/167208.gif
. My idea is to either adapt whatever mounting hole is there to thread onto
the stock studs or drill a new hole in the bracket and try to tap it to the
correct machine screw thread. Either way.. once I get it all together I'll
be sure to post pics and part numbers....

Comments? Anybody BTDT before?
