5-Cyl Vacuum Pump "Clack"

List:
    I've reviewed the list suggestions regarding eliminating the "clack"
of the vacuum pump on older 5-cyl engines (4kcsq, 80q, etc.) by removing
the actuator rod since we don't need that much vacuum anyway.  If I
wanted to repair the pump rather than take it out of the loop, what
would the repair entail?  New rubber gasket, impeller, return spring?
