5000cstq how to replace front main seal?

I had hell of a time pulling out the front crank seal. Seal removal tools
didnt help.
I drilled two small holes, 180 deg apart,  in the seal metal flange. Put
grease on the drill bit to catch any shavings.
Then screw in 2 bugle head screws(sheet rock screws).
Pull on screws with pliers and out it comes the seal!
