Power window, dome light relay location, and other questions 1989 100

1)       Power window (drivers) does not express down anymore. Best
place to look?

there is a double space control unit in the aux relay panel, at the
upper right of the panel.  It controls the express function.  but first,
fix the second problem...

2)       Interior lights do not go out. All switches are in the off
position now! (where IS that relay?????)

one of your door switches (covered with little rubber boots) is broken
and is not recognising that the door is shut.  that's the sixth one this
year that I know of!


4)       What is regular charging voltage? I am only seeing 13.3 volts
at best. Drops down to 11.6 with rear window defrost, lights and heater
motor on (normal mode in Winnipeg, oh yea and seat heaters as well).

at least 13.3 will charge the battery... most Audi/VW regs run around
13.5, with your battery under the back seat and all the electric gear on
your car it's hard for the system to keep up if anything is slightly
wrong.

check battery and alt grounds, battery to starter cable (I think there
is a splice under the pass. carpet that is notorius for creating excess
resistance...) quality of volt reg brushes, all the usual suspects.
