you can pick up inexpensive 84-87 4000 Quattros pretty easily these days
- though remember the golden rule, buy the best example you can find!
An investment of $2500 including purchase and misc. immediate fixes
ought to get you there. These are a bit VW-sh, boxy, kinda heavy on the
plastic in the interior, but luxury cars nonetheless. The 84's have
lower gearing and "older" cosmetics inside and out.
If you want to spend a little more, 80/90 quattros are popping up cheap
for ratty ones or ones with major work required. $5k would set you up
very well and these are very nice solid cars. A generation better...
