It is the same as high temp CV Grease, but you use very little.

We sell it in 1.6 lb tubs for $20.20 delivered, but that's a lot
more than you need, but the option is open at WWW.914parts.com (Products
-> CV grease ).

Other answers - Throwout bearing (DRY), Grade 8 far better than 5

Subject: Good Golly No Moly ..D

Hello all,

I'm in the final phase(s) of replacing the clutch on my 84 ksq (what a
PITA!).
The Bentley recommends applying or spreading Moly-D on the pressure
plate
splines. I cannot locate any any Moly-D at any local resources...most
of the
places never heard of it. The last time I used it myself was in my
Beetle
repair days. Is there any other lubricant that I can substitute? Also,
and
please forgive the ignorance, I'm assuming that a grade 8 bolt
(flywheel/crank
shaft mount)is better that a grade 5. Any suggestions/confirmations? TIA

P.S. Should I be applying any grease to my new throw-out bearing?

Regards,

George B.
