Shift quadrant surround on '90 100

I need to replace the bulb in my shift quadrant (automatic of course). I 
don't have a Bentley's for the car and need some info on how to get the 
plastic surround off the quadrant so I can get to the bulb. I looked one in a 
junkyard, it appears the console has to be disassembled?
