5kq vs 4kq transmission ( was - Ur quattro gearbox woes)

I am sure that the 5kt tranny has taller gear ratios in the transmission.  
Quoting from Audiworld's historical guide:

85 - 87 4kq:

1st:   3.60:1
2nd:  2.13:1
3rd:   1.46:1
4th:   1.07:1
5th:    0.83:1
Rev. :  3.50:1
Final Drive:  4.11:1 


85-87 5ktq


1st:  3.60:1
2nd:  2.13:1
3rd:   1.36:1
4th:   0.97:1
5th:   0.73:1
Rev:  3.50:1
Final Drive:  3.89:1


So the conclusion is that the 5kt tranny has taller gears from 3rd up, and 
the final drive IS different.  But, you can still get taller gearing my using 
the 5kt tranny with the 4kq rear diff.
