'87 5kCSQ ECU question

Hi Gang,

Quick question. My '87 5kCSQ uses a MAC11C ECU, and years ago when I
installed my "Charlie Spring" I jumpered the fuelpump relay to overcome
the 1.5 bar fuelpump cutoff. This worked fine, but now without the
jumper the fuelpump will not work. I obviously "toasted" something in
the ECU as replacing the FPR did nothing to help this problem. I have
an opportunity to get a MAC10?, but I do not know if it will work in my
vehicle 100% or at all, or will I lose certain functions that the MAC11
addressed. My understanding is that the MAC11A, B and C's etc. were
interchangable...just some different coding on the main chip, but that
using something other than a MAC11 would cause the loss of other
functions/features of the car. An and all enlightening would be
appreciated.

TIA,

Shef
