The brushes are probably worn out.

My (80q) was starting great all day then all the sudden it wouldn't do
anything when I tried to start it. Luckily my car decided not to start
while I was visiting the local cell phone store. :-) Got it towed to my
mechanic and he replaced the brushes...it still starts great!!

Anyway, that's what your problem sounds like to me!!

Good Luck!!

Hey gang,

Slight problem with the car, it wont turn over. Oh it runs just fine, I
just need to have a hill where ever I park :). I as of yet have not done
ANY real troubleshooting. I did play with the ignition switch a bit, hoping
that was it, but no change. I can hear relays clicking closed when I turn
the key, but absolutly nothing from the starter. I have the wiring diagrams
for the 86, so I'm going to look them over tonight and look at possible
problem points, I just wanted to get an idea of the various things you have
all found when encountering this problem.

Thanks

Rob
