5k lock cylinder code?

I recently replaced the driver's side doorhandle on my '87, and swapped the lock cylinder assy. to retain the correct key.  However, I looked all over the cylinder to see a code of some type, came up dry.

I want to have a new key cut from the code, where can the number be found?  Have not checked the trunk or passenger handle.

Any help much appreciated.
