Drive shaft center bearing

While we're on the subject, last year my car (4kq) was making some
interesting howling noises at lower speeds. It only happened when it
was cold, and the colder it got, the louder it howled. Anyway, putting
some grease in the fitting seemed to quiet it down. During this past
week, thanks to the colder temperatures, the howl has returned. I doubt
that I've driven the 7k mile greasing interval for the driveline. The
car only has 72k miles on it, so I'm hoping the center bearing isn't
shot. Thoughts?
