For the swappers-S6 engine

Well actually it's an all alu engine! The old 4.2 weighs 440lbs., how
much does the 20vt weigh? I have seen a sheet on a German site that
compares the final weight of a 20vt and a V8 into a 90q, the V8 converted
car weighs less.

The transmission bolts up, well the old 4.2 block does, and the P/N's
for that block and the old 4.2 are quite similar, but that could mean a lot
of things. The hardest part would be mounting the engine, the S4/6 Plus
mounting wings might help, but I am doubtful at this point. So some custom
mounting wings would be the most expensive part, maybe. The lower cross
member goes 90 B4, as does the radiator and fans. Stock S4/6 Plus coolant
hoses go right in. Since this engine has coil per spark there is no
distributor poking out the rear side, that interferes with the MC, so no
problem there. Exhaust is a pain, but the stock headers can be bent a
little to clear the subframe, then an $2 exhaust can be used, or a custom
double jobby ($$$).

It's a very plausible swap. It's been done in Germany, already posted
that URL. Talked to him and he said it's not that scary. His install is
pretty clean too, very fast 90q and he did the 3.6L. I bet I could get this
swap done, without loosing my knee caps to the mob, but not now and not with
that engine, can't afford it. I am looking for a good 4.2 V8, semple has a
tasty one, but it's nearly as expensive as this crated engine which includes
everything and 40 more bhp too! Semple also has a 3.6L for $1k,
possibility, but 4.2 is a little more tempting.

By the way Shokan is doing a CQ32v now too!
