2413 Code

Well I took it to the audi dealer, they did pressure test and found none
of the hoses to be loose at all. Do u have a K&N filter? They told me
that the oil can build up onto the MAF wires and cause a false reading,
so far all day today after I cleaned the MAF wires with alcohol, it
seems better, but can't really tell any performance since it is rainy as
hell. Also I cleaned the hell outta the K&N filter with hot water and
let it dry (not adding any oil), I dunno if it helped, but we'll see.
The 2413 code if that is the only one u are getting has not a thing to
do with Air Intake Hoses, if those were loose it would cause the car to
run rich the mechanic at the dealer said. Also I know he knows his stuff
quite well. He is their top mechanic. He also said if the plugs were
fouled enuf to make the car run bad, the computer would throw up a code
for that also. But he made it clear as hell that the intake/turbo hoses
were not the problem, whatsoever, even though he knew I chipped it, and
have a silicon IC to crossover pipe hose! Anyways, its been good so far
today and the nasty egg smell went away too tonite. We'll see how long
that'll last! Anyways lemme know what u think and keep me posted. Also I
have a printout on what the 2413 code means from their VAG Tool! If u
want me to show u! and no where on it does it say anything bout air
leaks hehe..

Not a member of the forum, yet I read your post and some of the replies.

I have had the same problem with my 1993 S4 (MTM stage 1+), and think
that
it may be due to loose intake hoses. From what I understand, the
leakage on
the intake causes the soot, which then fouls the plugs (and the O2
sensor
which I also had to replace). This is what the Hoppen Motorsport people
said to look for.

When I tightened up all of the intake hoses, and then cleaned the plugs,
I
finally got it to run right. This may be only temporary, as I did this
on
10/14, yet as of 10/16, it is running strong. The problem I had with my
S4
prior to this was that it would hesitate under full boost (knock sensor
retardation), particularly on the freeway, due to the ignition spark not
being perfect under the maximum boost condition. I would then pull the
plugs, and they would have excessive carbon buildup. Replace the plugs
(not
cheap at $15 each), and you just start the cycle again, as they start
fouling immediately.

let me know what you find out, and I will do the same.
