Found the Kumhos (good tire, great price) good to about mid-thirties,
then they start getting skittish, even in the dry. Before you fault the
tire, this is probably their glassing temp. My "R" rubber tires start to
glass about 50 degrees F, making them useless for those real late season
Auto-X's (can't get the tread temps up with a 2200 lb car when it's cold
out!).
