engine rebuild questions..

Hello all, I'm looking to get one of the extra engine blocks we have laying around the yard, from my brothers project beast/newt/car, rebuilt. I was wandering if anyone in the Southern Maine or New Hampshire area knows of a good shop to take the block to for refinishing. Would like to have everything I can redone on it so that it will last another 200k miles which mine currently has on it, and as far I know nothing has ever been touched on the engine currently in my car..hence leaking oil and knocking lifters. Also what else should I look for in doing this project...i.e. stuff that normally would go unnoticed by most people when swapping/rebuilding engines.
Also if anyone has had this done before what should I expect for a price range? I was thinking around 400-500 dollars ?
