Broken Odometer (any BTDT?)

Hey all,

My odometer -- both trip and regular -- stopped working the other day ('87
5KTQ).  It tried cleaning the speedo cable connection near the driveshaft
and took the dash instrument cluster out to check connections...neither
reaped any benefits.  Any BTDT's on this?  What's the best solution?
Replace the whole instrument cluster or is there an easier (cheaper) fix?
