There was a 1986 Audi 90 here that proudly sported the quattro logo on
the windshield and even had the quattro interior with diff lock switch
and quattro inscription on right side of the dash. It also had a very
interesting price, but when I took a look under the rear end I didnt see
a rear diff. No center drive shaft. And certainly not the transverse
mounted rear muffler. Just the regular trailing arm rear axle from the
regular 2wd T81.....

A few weeks ago I saw a 1991 VW Passat G60 Syncro wagon. It was a real
4wd model, but didnt have the rear diff or any drive shafts. It still
had the Syncro specific rear suspension system though....

Sometimes I just dont understand what people are doing to their cars!
