4000/80 lighting question

I'm fabricating a new grille/dual-round lighting setup, and I'd
like to use the flat corner markers for aesthetic reasons, but I don't
want to spend money on the whole headlight assembly when all I think I
really need are the corner markers. I was wondering if the headlight
mounting bracket used on the 85-87 4k was the same one used on the
European 80 with the flat front. Also, can I use two sets of 85-87 upper
trim pieces (one set flipped upside down) with these? At this time I'm
planning on using the 85-87 bracket ala Huw's conversion, so any help
sourcing flat corner markers (orange or clear) that will fit is
appreciated.
