Poor radio reception

Your AM comes from the rear - FM from the front/rear. First check you don't
have the cables swapped (assuming you have the original diversity radio)
Then check you have 12V going to the rear antenna amp. Then buy a cheap
fender antenna, disconnect the lead from the amp to the glass and see if you
reception improves - if not, you have a bad cable.
