Ken,

Definitely remove the airbox, just loosen the fuel dist. and lift it up, you 
don't need to disconnect the lines necessarily, but getting the airbox out of 
the way will save you a lot of grief.  Also, removing the passenger headlight 
will help too.  Once you have the room, yes, extensions and open-ended 
wrences will get the nuts undone, and lots of penetrating oil.
