It's the master cylinder or possibly the slave cylinder. I had my
master cylinder go out on me this summer with those exact symptoms.
Once mine started to do that repeatedly, it was only a matter of minutes
before it was shot! Just a heads up.

Subject: Clutch pedal issues, 4kq
Just picked up an exceptional looking and running 4000Q this weekend,
but there is one thing strange about the clutch pedal. It sits halfway
to the floor. I can pull it up with my toe and it stays, but the next
time I press it in it stays midway again. Clutch operation is just fine
though, shifting is no problem....
Return spring is in place but because its enclosed I cant tell if its
really ok or not.
Any ideas?
TIA.
Bob
