MC piston-to-wall clearance question

Hi everyone,

I recently had some piston/bore measurements on my MC
done by my machnist and I'm wondering if they are "in
spec."

The wear for all pistons/bores was pretty even and
averaged around 0.004". Does this seem correct for an
engine with 140 K miles?. The machinist seems to think
its OK but checking my Bentely for a NA engine the
wear limit for piston/cylinder clearance is 0.003" . A
new engine should be 0.001".

In contrast, I also measured the crankshaft myself
with calipers and could not detect hardly any wear for
the lower end...

Just want to know if anyone has any experience with
these numbers. I'm leaning to getting new pistons and
a 1-2mm overbore at this point.
