In defense of Jim, I was in CO recently, and noticed that rocks and stones are a major deal out there, seems most cars have broken headlights and crancked windshields because of it. My buddies A4 has taken a serious rock beating since he moved to CO. For functinalities sake and to keep your front end from being sand blasted, its not a bad idea.
