Thanks to all who replied. Looks like there is no easy fix for the chipmunk
in the heat exchanger box. Other models appear to have a screen installed in
the fresh air intake on the box, but the C4 100 models do not. On a related
note, I was replacing the temperature sensor on the rear passenger side of
the motor tonight. I noticed a few sunflower seeds around the manifold, and
then upon closer inspection, it appears that the chipmunk has filled the V
between the cylinder banks with seeds. I vacuumed what I could reach, but
there are tons more still there, and the only access appears to be by
removing the manifold. Looks like a cat will be in order...or maybe just
some traps and rat poison.
