Most likely the vacuum pump for the brake assist, on the side of the
head. Some say oil gets on the "wrong" side of the diaphragm, many
simply take them off, remove the drive rod and reinstall with no
calamities. Your brake pedal will get hard to push if you operate the
brakes and the loud pedal at the same time, though.

Almost certainly is - not too hard to replace - should be under $100 for
a new one at the dealer.
