Mistreating your car

Hi all,

Got the Dutch VW/Audi importer's dealer magazine here, and it has a picture 
some mechanic at a dealership shot of a front brake on a car that came in. 
The owner complained of a strange noise and a very low brake pedal. Turned 
out that the front discs were worn to the bone- on a vented front disc, the 
entire top surface around the hat had worn off leaving only the metal 
between the vent holes. Incredible!
