type 89-type 44 q transmission swap?

Hi all,

Could anyone tell me if it's possible to swap the entire engine and tranny 
from a 1988 100tq (type 44) into a 1987 90q (type 89)? The type 89's a 
Torsen, I don't think the type 44 is.
