    Unless I've lost the plot big time I think the square type is the old
stylee and the rounded is the later/better superturkey version.

    Whatever way you go I wouldn't personally attempt removing the gear from
the water pump, you'd probably ruin it unless supported and pressed out, and
if you go the superturkey way you've got the right one already.
