Huw and Rob,
Thanks for the info. Anyway, I give up for today. I'm gonna try again next
weekend. This time, I think I've got it. I'm going to remove the front
right tire, remove the bottom bolt from the starter from the front, and then
remove the top bolt from the tranny engine junction and the thing should
drop out.

There is another bolt on the opposite side of the transmission that goes
into the starter.
